Arrival in Japan
Hello everyone!
As you all may know I am now in Japan. After we landed in Tokyo we headed to the Four Seasons where we stayed for 1 night before taking to trains to our ski location Nozawa Onsen. Today was our first day skiing. It snowed so the conditions weren't that great but it was still lots of fun. For dinner one night we went to a restaurant that had fun Japanese toys to play with while you were waiting for the food. Nozawa Onsen has been extremely fun and I hope the fun continues.

Taroko Gorge Excursion
Hello again, all readers! After I finished my 3 week intensive Mandarin course, my family and I rented a car and drove down to Taroko Gorge. Taroko Gorge is a national park south of Taipei. Taroko is quite famous and is considered one of the main attractions of Asia, not only Taiwan. The gorge has a little village, a few hotels and some hiking trails. The other day we went on a big hike that went through lots of caves and tunnels through cliffs. At the end of the hike there was a cave that had lots of water pouring down on our heads as we walked through. Our hotel is really big and has lots of different activities, pools and hot tubs. Being at the gorge has been a great experience!

First Stop: Taiwan
Welcome to Taipei, Taiwan!
I have been in Taipei for almost two weeks now. Every day I go to Mandarin school. School goes for almost seven hours and is extremely tiring. Taipei is a very interesting city that has really delicious food and amazing shopping. At the edge of the city is the second tallest building in the world, the Taipei 101! The Taipei 101 is shaped and built like a bamboo stalk. At the bottom of the 101 there is a huge mall with food courts and all of the shopping you would ever want. So far Taipei has been fantastic and I can't wait for the things to come. See you next time!
